TINY WORLDS MADE JUST FOR YOU! EXPLORE MY CUSTOM OPTIONS.

Explore all of the options I offer for custom pieces below. Each piece is a unique creation, crafted with you in mind.

The Process

I truly believe in the magic of slow art, where every little detail is carefully crafted. There’s something special about stepping away from a piece for a few days and then returning to discover that perfect touch that brings everything together beautifully.

When you choose to buy art from me, you’re not just making a purchase, you’re investing in a one-of-a-kind creation! Each piece takes months to create, and I promise that even if I tried, I couldn’t replicate it.

Think of it like a mushroom that is a colder environment, emerging with vibrant colors, or one that’s a bit lighter due to limited sunlight that season. This uniqueness is what makes my art special, and why it needs a little time and space to grow.

My usual turnaround time is a few months, depending on how complex the piece is. But don’t worry! I love keeping you in the loop with text updates throughout the process, so you’ll get little sneak peeks of how your piece is coming together.

Examples of Types of Environments

Environmental Piece

The environmental piece is a unique representation of the natural landscape, crafted from items foraged from nature. It captures a specific moment in time, as if you stumbled upon an insect in the woods and preserved it forever. This piece may also feature a meadow scene with native flowers that grow naturally in Pennsylvania.

This is an example of an environmental shadow box piece featuring Atlas Moths on a foraged piece of wood surrounded by all foraged materials. This piece also includes UV Resin raindrops to give the appearance of the start of a rainstorm in the woods.

Male and Female Atlas Moth with Pheasant Feathers, ledge mushrooms, acorns, pine cones, a variety of leaves, and UV Resin raindrops.

Floral Piece

The floral piece is a fine art creation inspired by the floral still-life paintings of the Renaissance period. It features flowers from local farms and growers, as well as those picked from the artist's own property. The arrangement is designed to draw the eye through the piece and highlight the chosen insects.

This is an example of a floral shadow box piece featuring three luna moths that I raised and flowers collected from farms, growers, and my property.

Three male Luna Moths surrounded by locally grown Peonies, Roses, Tulips, Lily of the Valley, Toad Lilies, Lisianthus, Hellebore, and Lichens.

Cloche Examples & Pricing

Cloches are my original method of creating my tiny worlds; they can easily be made at almost any size, from small to as large as you can imagine. Depending on the cloche and if it has a wooden base, it can then be customized and painted or stained to a color that matches your taste and style. As far as the overall style of the cloche, I focus on two main styles, one that is

environmentally forward, imagine more of a walking in the woods and finding the insect of your choice existing. The other style is floral forward, where the majority of the piece is made of flowers sourced locally from flower farms/growers, from my own property, and foraged from other areas.

Shadow Box Examples & Pricing

I have started to dive into the world of handcrafting my own shadow boxes so that they may be customized to whatever size and style I am dreaming up. Also, they can be more customizable by being stained or painted whatever color goes with the design. My chosen colors are always in the natural realm, to not take away from the artwork itself,

but to accent it with a wood tone or black. The sizes range as well and can be customized to a specific space you have in mind for hanging your piece. Finished off with museum-quality glass that has a UV protective coating, ensuring that your piece will retain its beauty for years to come, even when exposed to sunlight. More examples coming soon.
